Kingenta Syncote^® Controlled Release Fertilizers are coated with polymer or sulfur with Kingentas advanced and patented technology. When the fertilizer is applied in moist growing medium, it will absorb the moisture through microscopic pores on the coat. The moisture slowly dissolves the nutrients then the nutrients diffuse into the root zone slowly and continuously. The nutrient release rate mainly depends on the soil temperature, coating materials and coating thickness. The fertilizer releases nutrients quicker under higher soil temperature. Soil moisture content, soil pH, and microbial activities dont affect the nutrient release rate obviously.
